Javier Vinals, PhD, joined BODFI in 2022. He previously joined Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School in 2020 as a member of Dr. Michael Eck’s lab, where he completed his post-doctoral research studying the structure of kinases for drug design. Dr. Vinals received his PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Oxford in the lab of Dr. Anthony Watts, where he studied the structure and biophysical properties of archaerhodopsin-3 (AR3) in native and artificial membranes. Previously, he obtained a MS in Molecular Cell Biology at Imperial College, London after earning his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at American University.
